Project Manager - Business Unit East & Southern Africa

Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in International Development Studies from the Universities of Wageningen, Stellenbosch and Utrecht. A second MSc in Urban and Regional Planning from Herriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. Student field experience on Aruba with focus on renewable energy for small island states in the Caribbean. Previous professional experience at the VNG (social policy) and Municipality of The Hague (renewable energy, housing and community based development). Currently involved with VNG International’s programmes in Sub-Saharan Africa and The Philippines.


Culture and society are key elements in durable development. Which is why it is so important to work with local governments in projects and capacity building.
