Following the 12 Live Learning events on COVID-19 and various topics (gender equality, mobility, technology, informalities, the role of local and regional government associations) which took place between March and May 2020, UCLG has launched a Decalogue – a document displaying the main challenges and opportunities after the COVID-19 crisis, and how to strongly involve local and regional governments in all of those.

The members of the UCLG presidency announce the Decalogue in a newly launched video. Jan van Zanen, Chairman of the VNG and co-president of UCLG, calls for strong international cooperation and mutual learning in the aftermath of the crisis:

“UCLG has been fostering collective learning from the very beginning of the pandemic. Local and regional governments will continue to work tirelessly, learning and supporting each other as a worldwide system of cities, local governments and regions to lead the discussion with communities on how our future will be shaped”.
