  • Cities Implementing Transparent Innovative and Effective Solutions (CITIES)

    Country: Jordan

    Duration: Start September 25, 2016 till September 24, 2021
    Improves municipal governance in Jordan by advancing service delivery and decentralisation. Through technical support and training, the project enables municipalities to plan better, engage citizens and deliver more responsive and efficient services.
  • East Africa, We Are Able!

    Field of expertise: Improving Access to Basic Services
    Duration: Start January 1, 2021 till December 31, 2024
    The programme promoted inclusive and resilient local governance by enabling people with disabilities and other excluded groups to influence policies, practices and norms for improved food security through empowered civil society and engagement with public authorities.
  • Improving Sustainability of the WASH Sector in Upper Egypt

    Country: Egypt
    Field of expertise: Improving Access to Basic Services
    Duration: Start October 1, 2021 till March 31, 2025
    The project in Upper Egypt has significantly improved water and sanitation services for 2.5 million people by empowering communities, upgrading infrastructure, and streamlining complaint response systems.
  • Institutional capacity building with SASB and the development of tertiary drainage in the city of Beira

    Country: Mozambique

    Duration: Start April 1, 2023 till June 30, 2027
    Beira in Mozambique faces frequent flooding. This project builds drainage systems and local capacity for a more resilient city.
  • Local Governments Response, Recovery and Reconstruction following the Earthquakes

    Country: Turkey
    Field of expertise: Improving Access to Basic Services
    Duration: Start April 4, 2023 till January 31, 2025
    The project supported local governments to lead recovery and reconstruction efforts after the earthquakes by strengthening municipal capacities and developing Local Recovery Plans. It also provided subsidies and practical support to help municipalities respond to immediate needs and build long term resilience.
  • Local Pilots Project

    Country: Libyan Arab Jamahiriya
    Field of expertise: Improving Access to Basic Services
    Duration: Start April 1, 2018 till March 31, 2021
    This project supported Libyan municipalities to improve local governance by strengthening planning, service delivery, and transparency through practical pilot projects.
  • Solid waste management support to the government of St Maarten

    Country: Sint Maarten
    Field of expertise: Improving Access to Basic Services
    Duration: Start March 4, 2022 till December 31, 2023
    This project supported St Maarten’s post-Irma recovery by strengthening waste management through technical assistance, reforms and implementation support.
  • Upper Egypt Local Development Program

    Country: Egypt

    Duration: Start February 1, 2019 till December 31, 2021
    Supports local governments in Upper Egypt to improve services and the business environment. Through technical support and training, the programme strengthens local capacity, streamlines public services and helps authorities respond better to citizens’ needs.
  • Water Pricing for Sustainable and Inclusive Growth

    Country: Ethiopia

    The project aims to improve equitable access to scarce water resources and increase water-use efficiency in the Awash Basin.
