  • Amahoro@Scale – An integrated approach towards improved tenure security and land governance

    Country: Burundi
    Field of expertise: Dealing with Conflict, Fragility and Migration
    Duration: Start December 1, 2021 till June 30, 2026
    Improves land governance and tenure security through better registration and local services. By promoting inclusion, conflict resolution and women’s land rights, it supports more stable communities.
  • ESPAD Peace and Security Program in Djugu

    Country: Democratic Republic of the Congo
    Field of expertise: Dealing with Conflict, Fragility and Migration
    Duration: Start October 1, 2020 till September 30, 2022
    The programme improved access to justice, security services and local governance with a strong focus on transparency, accountability and inclusion. It also promoted women’s meaningful participation in stabilisation and peacebuilding processes, supporting peace and long-term stability.
  • ESPASK Peace and Security program in South Kivu

    Country: Democratic Republic of the Congo
    Field of expertise: Dealing with Conflict, Fragility and Migration
    Duration: Start October 1, 2020 till March 31, 2023
    The programme aimed to realize the following long-term change: inclusive and participatory local governance contributed to reducing the extent and incidence of customary power conflicts.
  • ESPER 2 Peace and Security program in East DRC

    Country: Democratic Republic of the Congo
    Field of expertise: Dealing with Conflict, Fragility and Migration
    Duration: Start January 1, 2025 till June 30, 2026
    ESPER 2 works to improve living conditions and security in eastern DRC, supporting authorities and communities to benefit over 2.5 million people.
  • ESPER Peace and Security program in East DRC

    Country: Democratic Republic of the Congo
    Field of expertise: Dealing with Conflict, Fragility and Migration
    Duration: Start September 1, 2020 till December 31, 2024
    The programme strengthened security and justice governance, improved accountability of public institutions and promoted social cohesion through participatory, inclusive and gender-responsive approaches to support peace and stability.
  • Inawezekana ‘It is possible’

    Country: Democratic Republic of the Congo
    Field of expertise: Dealing with Conflict, Fragility and Migration
    Duration: Start September 1, 2017 till December 31, 2021
    The programme strengthened local governance and accountability, and helped youth and women access livelihoods, supporting conflict resolution and stability.
  • Kenya, Sustainable Development through improved Local Governance

    Country: Kenya
    Field of expertise: Dealing with Conflict, Fragility and Migration
    Duration: Start April 1, 2024 till December 31, 2026
    Kenya shifts to integrated settlements for refugees and host communities. SDLG supports local governments to improve services, governance and resilience.
  • lmproved Service delivery and Accountability at Local Level – Component of Public Administration Facility Phase lll

    Country: Libyan Arab Jamahiriya

    Duration: Start May 1, 2019 till July 31, 2022
    The overall objective of the project was to contribute to the democratic transition process and the stabilisation of Libya.
  • MASAR, Maintaining Strength and Resilience for Local Governments

    Country: Iraq
    Field of expertise: Dealing with Conflict, Fragility and Migration
    Duration: Start December 19, 2018 till December 19, 2021
    This project supported sub‑national governments in displacement‑affected areas to better plan, deliver services and promote local economic development for host communities, refugees and internally displaced people.
  • MASAR, Maintaining Strength and Resilience for Local Governments

    Country: Lebanon
    Field of expertise: Dealing with Conflict, Fragility and Migration
    Duration: Start December 19, 2018 till December 18, 2022
    This project supported sub‑national governments in displacement‑affected areas to better plan, deliver services and promote local economic development for host communities, refugees and internally displaced people.
  • Projet de sensibilisation des chefs coutumiers du Sud Kivu pour la redynamisation de la CCRCC au niveau provincial et local

    Country: Democratic Republic of the Congo
    Field of expertise: Dealing with Conflict, Fragility and Migration
    Duration: Start October 1, 2023 till May 31, 2024
    The mission revitalised and operationalised a provincial framework for resolving customary conflicts by strengthening cooperation between customary authorities, public institutions and civil society.
  • Supporting Refugees and Host Communities

    Country: Uganda
    Field of expertise: Dealing with Conflict, Fragility and Migration
    Duration: Start July 1, 2019 till August 31, 2022
    Supports refugees and host communities in Northern Uganda to build livelihoods. Through labour market analysis, public private dialogue and targeted expertise, the project strengthens local capacity and creates better jobs and income opportunities.
  • Transition for Inclusive Development in Eastern DRC (TRIDE)

    Country: Democratic Republic of the Congo
    Field of expertise: Dealing with Conflict, Fragility and Migration
    Duration: Start July 1, 2021 till December 31, 2026
    The TRIDE project aims to improve food security and integrated water resource management in 59 villages of 5 chefferies (municipalities) in South Kivu. In addition to promoting good governance at the community level, it addresses the root causes of insecurity and instability by sustainable development of the local economy.
  • UCLG Peace Prize 2021-2023

    The UCLG Peace Prize rewards innovative activities and initiatives that support conflict prevention, peace-building, post-conflict reconstruction and reconciliation.
