Project Manager

Sytske is involved in the bilateral funded projects in Türkiye focused on the response, recovery and reconstruction efforts of local governments in Türkiye following the earthquakes, as well as working on projects supporting local governments in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, St. Maarten, Bonaire, Curaçao and Aruba. She holds a Master degree in Conflict Studies and Human Rights from Utrecht University, and a Bachelor Degree in International Studies from Leiden University.

I am motivated by VNG International's emphasis on strengthening local governance. Especially in post-conflict or post-disaster settings, local governments, together with their citizens, play a pivitol role in state rebuilding and reconstruction
