
Mr. Abdirahman Yusuf – Consortium Coordinator, VNG International Somaliland
Mr. Abdirahman Yusuf holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies and has over 10 years of experience in humanitarian and development work. Since 2021, he has been serving as the Country Representative for VNG International in Somaliland, focusing on inclusive governance and disaster risk management. His expertise spans program management, strategic planning, and capacity building with UN agencies, INGOs, and government entities.

Mohamed Abdi – Finance Manager
Mohamed Abdi is the Finance Manager for the DANWAAAG Program, which is led by VNG International in partnership with consortium partners throughout Somaliland and Puntland. With an MBA background, Mohamed has a wealth of knowledge in financial management, compliance, procurement, human resources, and grant management, making him an essential figure in overseeing the program’s financial operations. Mohamed’s guiding philosophy emphasizes the importance of value over success, drawing inspiration from Albert Einstein’s: ‘Try not to become a person of success, but rather try to become a person of value.’ This principle underpins his commitment to the program’s mission of fostering resilient communities.

Mr. Mohamed Dubbe – Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Specialist
Mr. Dubbe holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations and Diplomacy and brings over a decade of extensive experience in designing, managing, and evaluating social impact programs within the complex context of Somalia and Somaliland. He has worked with renowned international development partners, including Save the Children International, and the World Bank, contributing to their in-country programs in various capacities. Dubbe has joined VNG International in 2023.
