Objective:
To strengthen public institutions and develop capacities for policymaking, planning and implementation in view of engaging with non-state actors, responding to citizens’ needs and contributing to general socio-economic development and the strengthening of participatory governance, peaceful and just society.
Results to be achieved:
Component 1: Improved institutional capacity for effective policy making, planning, implementation and coordination for the Ministry of Planning, line ministries and State institution covered by the EU MIP (2021-2027)
Component 2: Reform Support to Government institutions in the development policy areas of the Iraq MIP 2021-2027
Component 3: Institutional support to Parliament (federal Iraq)
Component 4: Institutional support to the Judiciary
Component 5: Enhancing the space for and capacity of Civil Society
Component 6: Enhancing the responsiveness and conflict-sensitivity of EU interventions in Iraq.
