SDLG SRoL Programme: Resident Programme Manager

Resident Programme Manager for VNG International implementing the Sustainable Development through improved Local Governance ( SDLG) project. His main focus is on overseeing the implementation of initiatives in South Sudan and strengthening local government capacity in EES to enhance service delivery in WASH. Emmanuel joined VNG International in 2015.

Ms. Gloria Ataa Ben
SDLG SRoL Programme: Resident Programme Officer

Gloria Ataa Ben is Resident Programme Officer for finance and bookkeeping in Kapoeta South County, Eastern Equatoria State. Gloria has a certificate in Bookkeeping and has experience in planning, budgeting and filing system. She joined VNG International in May 2023.

Ms. Nancy Lonyia
SDLG SRoL Programme: Resident Programme Officer

Nancy Lomongin Lonyia is a  Resident Programme Officer in Kapoeta South County, Eastern Equatoria State. She has a diploma in community health & HIV/AIDS management and bachelor Degree in Public Health. She has experience in WASH programmes implementation and further development and joined VNG International South Sudan in September 2022.

Mr. Daniel Eriku Ibaga
SDLG SRoL Programme: Resident Programme Officer

Ohia John Phillip is a Resident Programme Officer  for Torit County, Eastern Equatoria State. Ohia has a bachelor degree of art in Education and has experience in teaching and worked in the State Ministry of Labor EES as inspector. He joined VNG International in  February 2023.

Mr. Emmanuel Yanga
SDLG SRoL Programme: Resident Programme Manager and Local Governance Expert

Emmanuel Yanga is the Resident Programme Manager for the We Are Able! programme in Bor, Jonglei State, and the local governance expert in the SDLG programme in Eastern Equatoria State. Emmanuel has a bachelor degree in Business Administration and is an experienced programme specialist over 20 years from South Sudan. He has extensive experience in capacity building and managements in health, education, infrastructure developments, food security and WASH programmes. He joined VNG International in 2019.

Ms. Jacqueline Muthura
SDLG SRoL Programme: WASH Expert

Jacqueline Muthura is an accomplished Associate Expert at VNG International, specializing in Gender, WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) and local governance. With over 13 years of experience in capacity strengthening and institutional development across Sub-Saharan Africa, she has made significant contributions to sustainable rural development in South Sudan and joined VNG International in 2016.

Mr. John Arop Apai
SDLG SRoL Programme: Local Governance Expert

John is a graduate of Juba University with a bachelor degree specializing in Land Use Management, Agroforestry, and Land Survey, bringing over 20 years of practical experience in peacebuilding and gender mainstreaming in South Sudan. His professional background includes resolving communal land disputes, such as the Marial Bai Agreement, and championing women’s rights to land ownership and equality, notably through the Local Government’s Gender Action initiatives and the Women in Local Government Association. John interacts with the Local Government Board in Juba on regular basis and is also involved in VNG International’s work with the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation. He has worked with VNG International since 2018.

Mr. Lomoli Samson Maura
SDLG Water Programme: Resident Programme Manager

Lomoli Samson Mauro has a bachelor’s degree in business information technology (BIT) and a Master of Arts in Development Studies. He has experience in Institutional development. He joined VNG International South Sudan in October 2024 as a Resident Program Manager.

Mr. Leek Joseph Manyok
SDLG Water Programme: Resident Programme Officer

Leek holds a bachelor degree in Development Studies and is currently pursuing a master degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, alongside a postgraduate diploma in Disaster Risk Management and Sustainable Development. He brings extensive experience in research, data analysis, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and project coordination. Leek joined VNG International in October 2024. Previously, he worked with REACH Initiative, contributing to several key projects. Leek is a certified IPC Level 1 Analyst.

Mr. Mayen Peter Alier
We are Able! Programme: Programme Governance Advisor

Mayen is a Resident Program Officer since September 2021 for the We Are Able Project South Sudan. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Education with a topical focus on general education, inclusive governance, child protection, and community engagement.

VNG International Kapoeta Office: Logistics Assistant

John Lokale is a professional driver with 18 years of experience, currently serving as a driver at VNG International in Kapoeta since October 1, 2018. In addition to his driving duties, he supports logistical activities as an office assistant, oversees security personnel, and assists during training sessions. John’s diverse skillset and dedication play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and safety within the organization.
