Projet de sensibilisation des chefs coutumiers du Sud Kivu pour la redynamisation de la CCRCC au niveau provincial et local

Global objective:

Revitalise and operationalise the provincial Conseil Consultatif de Rãsolution des Conflits Coutumiuers in South Kivu.

More specifically, this mission aims to:

• Inform, sensitise and mobilise customary chiefs on the CCRCC and its role in the resolution of customary conflicts across South Kivu Province.
• To popularise the legal texts relating to the exercise of customary power and the settlement of related conflicts.
• Obtain the support of customary chiefs for the revitalisation and operationalisation of the provincial CCRCC and the local CCRCCs in prospect.
• Agree in a collegial and consensual manner on a strategy and action plan for the revitalisation of the CCRCC, at the provincial and ETD levels.

VNG International, in partnership with the Political Engagement Unit of MONUSCO’s Stabilisation Support Unit and in consultation with CAS and CORDAID:

• Facilitate the holding of preparatory technical meetings with experts from the Government and partner organisations;
• Develop and share tools, drafts and other essential materials for the programme;
• Conduct stakeholder mobilisation activities at local, provincial and national levels;
• Lead the organisation and facilitation of the workshop;
• Produce the workshop report;
• Manage the communication and visibility actions surrounding the activity (considering the VNGi-UAS partnership).
