Since 25 years I work on context analysis, programme development, business development, advocacy and program management mostly in fragile states. I lived on the Balkans, in Turkey, Afghanistan and Iraq. I also worked in Lebanon, Yemen, DRC and Sahel. I did this for PAX, BBO, Cordaid and Nuffic.

I lived in North Macedonia from 2000 until 2002 in the area where armed Albanians rose against the Macedonian state in 2001. I learned about the importance of local government because it was the cornerstone of the political agreement that stopped the war.
