The LOGO South programme (MIC) 2007 – 2010 aims to strengthen good local government as a condition for poverty reduction. Capacity development is seen as an important means to strengthen good local government. Dutch municipalities work with partner cities, associations, NGOs and external experts in a selected group of developing countries on country-specific local government themes. The programme focuses on politicians, decision makers and civil servants.
