The LOGO South VNG-ACB programme aims to improve the capacities of 12 partner Local Government Associations in four regions: South East Asia, Central America, West and East Africa. In each region, the coordination of the partner programme is carried out by a regional coordinator. This person coordinates, implements and monitors the major part of activities taking place in the region. The regional coordinator liaises with the three Local Government Associations and is the contact person for the VNG office.

Central America

In Central America, VNG continues its collaboration with COMURES-El Salvador and AMUNIC-Nicaragua. VNG has enlarged the partnership in the Central American region to include the Local Government AssociationANAM of Guatemala. COMURES is one of the most experienced associations in the region and a useful partner as a resource organisation for the other two. East Africa

The partnership with the Association of Local Government Authorities of Kenya (ALGAK) continues from the previous VNG-ACB programme. Furthermore, VNG cooperates with the Rwandese Association of Local Government Authorities (RALGA). In 2008, ABELO, the association of local governments in Burundi was established. VNG International has assisted the association from the start, among others, by facilitating the association of Rwanda to provide their expertise to ABELO. The programme involves the Local Government Association of Bénin – ANCB (Association Nationale des Communes du Bénin), and the Local Government Association of Burkina Faso – AMBF (Association des Municipalités du Burkina Faso).
