Open Request Fund LOGO South VNG Association Capacity Building programme 2007-2010
Because of the proven success of the Open Request Fund of the first ACB Programme 2003-2006, VNG International has continued to offer access to technical support as available through the Open Request Fund within the “LOGO South Association Capacity Building programme 2007-2010”.
Through this programme VNG International supports associations of local governments in Asia, Central-America, West- and East-Africa. The programme is funded by the Netherlands ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Local Government Associations from a selected number of countries are invited to submit proposals under this Open Request Fund that are in line with the objectives of the overall programme.
Applications have been accepted from Local Government Associations that were not already partners in the LOGO South Association Capacity Building programme and that are situated in the following countries: Afghanistan, Albania, Armenia, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Colombia, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Georgia, Ghana, Guatemala, Indonesia, Yemen, Cape Verde, Macedonia, Moldavia, Mongolia, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Pakistan, Palestinian territories, Senegal, Sri Lanka, Surinam, Tanzania, Uganda, Vietnam, Zambia and South Africa (the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs list of preferred partner countries).
The Local Government Association could apply for two types of projects within this Open Request Fund:
- Type A: Projects with the objective to strengthen internal capacity of the Local Government Association
- Type B: Pilot projects with the objective to improve the association’s service provision to members
The Open Request Fund is no longer open for requests.
