VNG International supports Montenegrin municipalities in increasing transparency and accountability - 23-12-09

The proposal which VNG International and the Union of Municipalities of Montenegro submitted to the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ MATRA Programme in early 2009 – focusing on increasing accountability and transparency at the municipal level in Montenegro – has been approved. The project supports all Montenegrin municipalities, and 5 pilot municipalities in particular, in combating corruption at a local level. The project is implemented together with the Union of Municipalities of Montenegro, and in close cooperation with the Centre for Development of NGOs (CRNVO); the OSCE and Council of Europe.
