Succesful launch of VNG International's Emerging Local Government Association Facility - 01-06-11

VNG International has received 8 applications for the Emerging Local Government Association Facility (ELGAF) for the ARIAL programme. On the first of July, the applicants will receive notice on whether their application is granted financial and technical support. Inscription to the ELGAF closed the 1st of June. 

In the fall of 2010 VNG International and its implementing partners officially launched the ARIAL programme "Supporting and strengthening Local Government Associations at ACP national and regional levels" in Brussels. The specific objective of the project is to enable Local Government Associations to take part in the creation and implementation of development policies, in particular with the EU.
