Municipality of Goes receives Millennium Municipality Prize - 16-02-10

The Dutch municipality of Goes earned a prize for being ‘the most inspiring Millennium Municipality of the Netherlands 2009’. Goes received the prize because of its ability to involve many sectors in society in activities for the millennium development goals. At present 140 municipalities, representing 50% of the Dutch population, participate in the Millennium Municipality Campaign. The prize was awarded at VNG International´s New Year reception on January 22.
