Municipal contracting project in Cameroon - 08-03-10

VNG International has been selected by GTZ/Cameroon to conduct a study which will lead to the establishment of contractual plans between the central government of Cameroon and its local authorities. This study will benefit from examples of similar successful VNG international experiences in the field of Municipal Contracting. The contractual plan is aimed at achieving the socio-cultural and economic development goals set by the state and will facilitate the transfer of capacities from the central government to the local authorities within a short timeframe. The document produced will be a legal binding document with administrative and financial implementations for both parties. The process of decentralization, which is moving at a fast paste in the country, will thus be supported and facilitated by all stakeholders and will gradually take a strong foothold in all levels of decentralized government.
